Robotic Control using a Siemens FM357-2

 

Motion control varies from full Robotic Control to simple, but accurate position of (typically) between 1 and 6 axes. The axes may be independent or linked and they may be linear or rotational axes.

Typically systems monitor the positioning and feedback control action to ensure the most accurate positioning possible with that particular hardware.
